I -- respect Larry and Rod's work -- too much to do so. I just wanted to
know if there was a simple way of fixing files before they were transferred
to book port using the transfer utility.

Of course any binary file can be edited. But I can tell you APH is not going to tell you or me the structure of these files. I suppose if I really cared I might be able to figure something out but why bother.
