HI Jerry,
yes, all you have to do is fold the front flap back and around like a book. 
It will then attach to the right side with velcro covering the CF card.
With the leather being so supple it folds very easy.

Thanks much for an excellent review, one that interests me since I was
considering the purchase of the case. Can you tell us if you are able to get
ready access to the BookPort's buttons while walking with the device in its
case? that you didn't mention, at least, not directly.
