Larry - Given your response to question 2, can I ask whether, assuming that a type I CF card was found that's larger than 2GB in size, it would work in the BP? In other words, am I correct in reading your answer as indicating that the issue is type I vs. type II CF cards and that there's nothing inherent in the firmware that would preclude the use of a larger type I card? ----- Original Message ----- From: "LARRY SKUTCHAN" <lskutchan@xxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, December 15, 2004 8:14 AM Subject: [bookport] Re: A few more questions on the BP... 1. Unfortunately, Book Port does not support protected music files at this = time. 2. 2 GB is apparently the limit for the size of a type 1 compact flash = card. 3. We are looking into the dictionary issue, but we do not have any = estimates on when this would be implimented. >>> kyle@xxxxxxxxxxxx Tuesday, December 14, 2004 6:35:57 PM >>> Hello =20 Three more questions on the BP: =20 1. Will the BP support music bought online from I-Tunes, or Nappster, and or Wal-Mart? 2. Is there a reason why the bp will not support a CF card larger than 2 gb? If so can anyone explain what it is, and if this can be resolved via a firmware update, or is it a hardware issue. 3. Is there an estimate on when a pronunciation dictionary feature will be added to the BP, or is there a hardware limitation to why this is not feasible? =20 Kyle =20 --=20 No virus found in this outgoing message.
