Don't connect your Bookport to the computer, until you have uninstalled, and then reinstalled Bookport Transfer. Go to: ctrl-panel, add/remove programs. press the change/remove button. Now arrow down to Bookport. Tab over to remove. Press enter. Reinstall the BP Transfer software. After it is installed, it should check for updates automatically. If it doesn't, go to the Bookport Transfer options menu. Press the ctrl key and tab key both at the same time. Do this twice until you hear, "Advance tab." Now press tab until you hear, "Check for updates at start up." Make sure this box is checked. If things go smoothly, and BP Transfer updates, then connect the Bookport to the computer after you have deleted the Bookport User's Manual from the memory card.
