Jim - Well, that's the only card I now use on my BP and I don't think that it particularly slows down performance, with the exception of the 2+5 combination, which moves to the last file you were reading. It's simply a fact that the more directory entries you have, the slower performance is going to be, but I consider the tradeoffs vastly better than the alternative of having several smaller cards. _____ From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of jnuttallphd@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, September 04, 2007 9:52 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] 4 GB card and BP performance I was considering getting a 4 GB flash card. Someone told me a friend of his had a 4 GB card and it slowed the file search and naming of the BP. Has anyone else had this problem? I figured maybe that person has too many files in the same directory. So if others could tell me how your BP performs with a 4 GB card I would appreciate it. Thansk much, Jim Nuttall--Michigan
