There is one other place wher I am told that it makes a difference. The faster cards are better for a GPS system such as Trekker or StreetTalk. The makers of K-NFB Reader insist that users of that product should use high speed cards because it helps the processing to go faster. You are right that they really don't make any difference as far as Book Port is concerned. But, if you happen to find the same size cards and the high speed one is cheaper then it won't hurt anything to use the faster card.
