Hi Kevin,

I have to say, I have never seen this problem, and I have quite a few large
files in a single folder, since I encode MP3 files at 192K.

All the best

I have also found that just putting more than 3 or 4 large files in a single
folder make the book courier sluggish.

Hi all:

I've had my BC for little over a year. It's updated. I use metal
re-chargeable batteries which seem to work fine. I load most of my files
into the BC using documents scanned into Kurzweil 1000. Much of the time,
I've found that using the text format, versus the KES format, to be better
for BC navigation in terms of word and sentence navigation.

With certain files, seemingly those originating as Microsoft Word Documents
imported into Kurzweil, and then transferred to the book courier as text
files, these documents invariably end up being very sluggish in terms of
navigation. For example, after pushing the read key, there will be 2 or 3
second delay before reading begins. Likewise, with the other navigation keys
the same thing occurs.

I've changed batteries to alkalines to determine if this corrected the
problem but no change resulted. Can anyone advise on this problem as to it's
cause and possible solution?

Thanks,
Mike
