I suspect it is because RFB and D's books are of their own "proprietory"
format. People who use the Book Porte have to buy an extra plug in to
access the files, and the daisy players provided online or from Bookshare
don't work with the RFB and D books. You have to buy a particular player,
from them of course to get their books to work. Which of course is rather
ironic, considering Daisy was supposed to be the Universal file format. But
ah well. Universal access is struck down again by well, cooperate desires.

Does anyone know what the hang up is regarding the use of daisy formatted
books on the bc from rfb&d? it appears that those of us ling in the u.s.
will not be able to take advantage of the new daisy format support for a
