PS.

I have the BC battery type set to "rechargeable" and wait until the BC says its time to change the batteries before doing so. I've never had a problem.

I haven't found the battery level status messages to be at all accurate for any battery type so I ignore this feature.

Ian,

I use the same Uniross 2500mAH NiMH batteries and agree with Sandra and David. I sometimes charge 4 at a time if I'm going away and want to take a couple of spares. And sometimes just 2 if I'm at home. NiMH's lack the memory effect of NiCad's so don't have their capacity reduced by charging before fully discharged.

There has been a lot of debate about rechargables on this list. People need to be careful to compare like with like. Not all rechargables are the same and you need to know the battery type (NiMH, NiCad etc) and the capacity (in mAH). The 2500mHA Uniross's certainly seem to last a reasonable time and may be comparable with basic Alkaline non-rechargables.

I have a 2 hour charger but you can now get a 15 minute one for the same price.

Bruce.
