Mainly, I just need the names and email addresses of appropriate government
officials. Please include their titles, the state they are from and whether
they are Republicans, Democrats, or Independents. Remember, Malheur is a
federally-owned property. By and large state and local officials and no
jurisdiction and therefore little influence over the law enforcement entities
who will ultimately carry out the negotiations and/or forced removal of the
occupiers. There are local officials in Harney County, mostly notably Harney
County Sheriff Dave Ward and Judge Steve Grasty, who need support whether we
wholeheartedly agree with their handling of these events or not. They have been
put in a very difficult spot, in that they've been forced into dealing with the
occupation of a property and criminal activity that is both tough to track and
not necessarily occurring on property that they have jurisdiction over. Both
have been threatened by the Bundys and their various sympathizers, which in
Ward's case gave him cause to send his family away from Burns.
If you want to send me links to news articles or videos chronicling public
statements about the occupation, those will be helpful but hardly necessary.
I've included some links below to stories and videos that capture the
sentiments of several strong opponents of the Bundy occupation.

It is really tough to track down information on statements on this occupation
by lawmakers from outside the area, as many have not made any. That said, if
you come across condemnation statements from Senators and Representatives from
outside of Oregon, please share them with me.
