The more we learn the worse things appear to be. I had never heard of the
Hammonds of Harney County until the Bundy's arrival at Malheur HQs on Jan 2 of
this year. Now I know that the Hammonds engaged in violence and threats thereof
for the preceding three decades. Aa a mere aside in the article Melissa links
to here, five deaths occurred shortly after the Bunkerville event when two
participants killed two police officers, a bystander at Wallmart, and
themselves. While Congress has made very little response against such activity,
several members are unabashedly aiding and abetting this rather uncivil
behavior.
