Nice job on rally. Link below to article at Outside Magazine. We plan to be
at Portland rally on Tuesday. I am bringing my rolling pin.

We had a rally today in Bend, over 100 people, many wearing binoculars to
give the message that Malheur is FOR THE BIRDS, not for the bullies. Here is
a little photo and short news article about it.

More to come later. In the photo you may recognize some of the birders from
Central Oregon. Speakers included Duncan of the Field Station, Alice Elshoff
who is on the board of Malheur Friends, a rancher whose land borders the
refuge, Marion Davidson who read the William Stafford poel "Malheur at Dawn".
etc. A serious, peaceful, and heartfelt rally. May the Tuesday rallys be as
meaningful and we all want, effectiveness. Try to get to one near you. Judy
