Yeah, why the FBI forever bothering civil rights groups but no action on these
right-wing racists?

I agree, Paul. I saw a transcript of the conversation between Bundy and the FBI
negotiator. FBI was conciliatory and catering. Bundy re-stated his bottom line
demands of re-structuring all federal lands to local control. All so
respectful. Not like speaking to violators of the law, etc. Then Bundy, his
brother, Payne and entourage sauntered off for a meal in a local restaurant.
It was frankly quite nauseating to read.

Won’t happen. The FBI met peacefully with Bundys today
and said they will again tomorrow. In a press release the FBI said they
are attempting to negotiate a non-violent end to the occupation. Given the
occupiers’ statement that they want nothing less than the turnover of federal
lands, I don’t see what there is to negotiate. The occupiers have
essentially no money to pay for damages they’ve caused (some, like the
disruption of artifacts, are irreparable). Negotiating for amnesty would
set a very very very bad precedent, and certain to cause repeats of these kind
of terrorist acts in the future by these or other militants.

I think the present is a good time for FBI to move in. Most of the
locals want them gone, and the players are concentrated in one place.
We can only wait and see...

More bad news. IMO, Law Enforcement has let this go WAY TOO LONG! Now
they've let the "situation" (to be polite) get even more difficult.
What the......heck!?!? Over.

As I see these updates on the situation in Malheur, I believe the
occupiers will not leave of their own accord. Their previous statements of
being willing to leave if the local residents wanted that were just a
delaying tactic to keep the FBI, et al, at bay with the hope of
resolving the situation without force. The more time that passes the
more militants from elsewhere will arrive to join them. It is so maddening
to see these law breaking, reality denying intruders allowed to come and go
unhindered. It validates their reality that they are spinning. And, despite
the ridicule at their seemingly hapless lack of planning, I think they had
a
specific plan all along connected to a very frightening nation wide agenda.
It's so distressing,
