There are many lists for discussions and advice about Malheur. I participate on 3 of them. OBOL is the only
list I am on which is strictly about birds throughout the state of Oregon. I am satisfied having OBOL only about birds. Judy Meredith, jmeredit@xxxxxxxxxxx

Dave and All,

I'd hate to pop anyone's bubble here but on this:

"I found it a bit comical, albeit predictable that absolutely no
one seemed to be much ruffled by my post until Dave Lauten
resigned as moderator in protest over the my statement of rather
        simple facts."

I'm pretty sure that Dave Lauten resigned as OBOL moderator sometime
over the past couple of weeks, and it had nothing to do with your OBOL
posting yesterday. He clearly stated that he was speaking as a *past*
moderator.  Perceptive folks will have noticed that, about two weeks
ago, Treesa Hertzel started signing her posts as "moderator" -- not as
"co-moderator."

But I really doubt that most of us here on the BOO list are interested
in hearing about anyone's personal grudges against the OBOL moderator,
or past moderators. We're signed up because we're interested in birders
coming together to support positive action on the Malheur occupation and
other "political" issues that affect birders.

I respect Treesa's actions regarding OBOL policy and appreciate that she
is facilitating (though pointedly *NOT* moderating) this list, so we
have a place to share ideas and action plans.

Let's get on with it. There's a lot of work to be done, and no time for
bickering.
