I am sure everyone knows this, the sensible thing to do when pulled over by
law enforcement is to obey all instructions, keep your hands on the
steering wheel until told otherwise. You did not reach for anything, until
told to, and do not get out of the car until told to. This is true for
everyone, not just those who are driving while black, and is what I have
done when pulled over for speeding, and have since slowed down. Erratic
behavior can make for a very bad scene . Given all the media attention we
were all well aware of the situation, he said he would not go to jail to
spend his last days, and was routinely armed. The videos will ultimately
tell the full story, and apparently transpired while there was still
daylight. That day I was hopeful that they would be stopped and arrested on
the way to John Day, it was well past time for law enforcement to enforce
the law , and it was predictable, should not have been totally surprising,
a lot more people could have died, including law enforcement, thankfully
that did not happen
