I used to use vassal a while back. It's pretty great too if you want to play
board games especially.
I will not generally be available Wednesdays but I'll see what time I can be
free.

Forrest, this all sounds great. I have been curious about steam and vassal for
some time but as you mentioned it is difficult to use with a touch pad which is
what I have currently. Will look into getting a mouse for my laptop.

Hi guys,
Eddie will be running an online tutorial of Discord and Tabletop Simulator
using a simple horse and musket game tomorrow night at 6:30. To participate,
send your Discord name and your Steam names to:

and he will send you at invite to the session just before it starts tomorrow.
We'll help you get comfortable with moving pieces, rolling dice, measuring
movement, and finding your way around in the tabletop simulator environment.
All you need is a mouse and a couple of keys on the keyboard, and there is no
speed or reflex stuff involved because you're really just playing a boardgame.
It's extremely intuitive.
You will need;

Headphones or ear buds (so your computer speakers don't cause an echo for
everyone else).
Once we master a simple game, we'll load up the Fire and Fury Regimental game
that's in the community workshop area of tabletop simulator.
The Discord server is called Normal Online Wargaming, and it's a place we can
meet to make plans and communicate for all kinds of online gaming. You'd be
amazed the wargaming stuff that the community has put together on TTS.
