Gang – The topic is the Sept CITW, which Bloomington is scheduled to host.
I resisted the urge to make a pronouncement on this. But my intent
would be to cancel as we aren’t even gaming in person locally. The subset
of us who attended the WIRSING BACKYARD DISTANCE CIRCLE! last night
discussed briefly to judge who was willing to attend. I detected no one
willing. For most it was a resounding “will not attend”, including
myself. But I believe protocol demands I ask … does anyone wish to attempt
to hold the meeting, which would include running the day since I will not
be there? If so, this is your chance to speak. But please do so quickly.
At this point I don’t know if either of our two usual venues are
available for use due to COVID issues and what the sterilization caveats
would be – either church or school. I have to think it’s unlikely,
especially for the school where sterilization will be a frequent required
thing performed by people following some sort of a protocol. As far as
the church basement is concerned, I just don’t know. But I know church
services are NOT being held in the building. I don’t plan on investigating
any of this unless a surprising number of Bloomington folks volunteer by
responding to this mail.
Please feel free to weigh in on either side of this issue as I have done
-- whether we should meet, whether you will attend or not, are willing run
a game, or are willing to administer the facility. I might be surprised!
