Thanks to all who responded. Kevin, could I please borrow your first edition?
I will need it for an out of town game the weekend after next. So, could I
come by and pick it up sometime in the next couple of days? If I look stupid,
I’d like to know it was just a mistake on my part and not he fault of now
knowing the rules. Please advise

Howdy Tom,
There are 4 editions of the rules. I have all but 2nd edition. The first
edition, the one published by Avalon Hill back in the 80's, is probably my
favorite. It is organized into basic rules, advanced rules, and optional
rules. All the later editions combine the basic and advanced into one
(poorly) integrated set. Also, by way of warning, all are written in a
"boardgame" organizational style, which can be a bit difficult to skim
through. Lately, we have been playing 1st ed, basic rules and it has
noticeably sped up our games.
The first edition I only have the rules booklet, the third, boxed edition I
have everything, and I also have the fourth, hardbound edition (which makes a
few rules changes that I have some problems with). You are most welcome to
borrow any or all I have, just let me know.

Guys,
I have need to work through the rules, “Napoleon’s Battles”. Would one of
you have a copy I could borrow for the next week or so? It would really
help me out a lot. Thanks for any help you can provide.
