Howdy All,
I will undoubtedly be wearing a mask for the time being. The CDC guidance is a
bit vague on what can be deemed a safe size for gatherings of fully vaccinated
people, and our local Covid-19 numbers are still a bit worrisome. Having said
that, I can only decide for myself, and I have no desire to compel others to
mask up if they don't want to. I wear a mask to both protect myself and to
minimize my likelihood of infecting others. My exposure at work drops
dramatically after the students move out May 8th. Even then, I am probably more
likely to be exposed than anyone who is retired and/or self isolating. So, for
the time being at least, I would rather be safe than sorry.

I just discussed with the non-gamer half of my equation. I do NOT require a
mask myself. But I’m willing to don one at the slightest request. So if
that means masking for the partially vaccinated, I’m OK with that. If it
doesn’t mean that, I’m (guess what) still OK with that.
Cheers - Tim

I guess my first thought would be to wear a mask in case there are those in
attendance who are not a)vaccinated or b)had time for it to fully take effect.
If there's a night where everyone is well into their second dose, I would
entertain the idea of going maskless.
That said, we might find that we prefer to look at one another in masks as
compared to the horrific sight of our actual faces.

Guys,
Before responding, I wanted to seek wise counsel. Not finding any, I talked
things over with Tim and Thomas. The following are my thoughts:
1. For the forseeable future, each person attending will self-check his
temperature with a non-contact thermometer we will have in the Bunker.
2. If all attending are fully or partially vaccinated, the wearing of masks
will be up to each individual.
3. If any of the attendees are not vaccinated, then out of respect for that
individual each person will wear a mask. This would be continued until the
group discusses any changes that might take effect in the future.
4. If planning to attend, it will be important to RSVP out of respect for
others so they will know what to expect on a given game night.
5. I am merely throwing out these suggestions as possible courses of action.
I am very willing to go along with what the group decides.

Gentlemen. And Trimble.
As we get closer to our first gaming session (May 13), the issue of masks is
one that needs to be addressed. By my count, all who have said that they will
attend on May 13 will have been fully vaccinated (excepting Thomas). Additional
not-fully-vaccinated persons may end up being present.
This email is being sent out to generate discussion as to what “the collective”
would want in this regard. Please speak freely on this – a person’s health and
level of comfort in their surroundings are rather important bits. We certainly
don’t want anyone to not attend due to some level of discomfort.
I personally see but 2 options -
1. Everyone wears a mask. Period.
2. Nobody is required to wear a mask – but those who would wish to do so
obviously could.
If there is a 3rd option, please edumicate me.
