We are about the same age. I also did work in electronics but had to give
that up.

I am now an adaptive technologist. I teach blind vvets to use computers.

I first learned that blind folks could use woodworking equipment in 1986, at
the Hines VA Blind center. Ten years later I started getting more involved
with woodworking.

Not sure I ever did, and I'm an "old people". But I'm almost 60 (egads!) and
blind. Had sight went young, so was able to help Dad with all sorts of wood
projects. Have done a lot of rough carpentry/framing and some simple
projects. Just completed my Grandson's toy box and have an obligation to
send photos and description to Larry.

I like music and play a number of instruments.

Married, living in the South Bay Area of San Francisco Bay and have for over
50 years.

I'm a System Sales Engineer for a company that manufactures precision
synchronization timing for telecomm/wireless/cable networks. Have been
working in the electronics industry since 1977.

How's that?
