Petro,
During the problem conversions my computer acted as it does when there is heavy cpu usage. in all fairness, I tend to multitask and when one is doing email, working with multiple document windows, perhaps scanning for malware while a conversion is going on ... hopefully you get the idea. I've also had some issues with flaky internet connectivity during the last few days, so I'm not sure Replay-AV is even the primary culprit. Anyway, have done yet another reinstall and reboot along with some other cleanup and things seem to be working much better, so maybe I've finally gotten rid of the gremlins by a combination of approaches. i'm usually much better about identifying and describing problems, but for a few days it seemed as though my computer had a mind of its own where Replay-AV was concerned and now things seem to be working with only minor tweaking on my part, go figure. Concerning Replay Music, I appreciate the suggestion but don't think that program would meet my needs, since many of the streams i listen to are typical radio streams where there is cross-fading between tracks or speech between them so that there is not enough silence to indicate a split to an automated program, if you see what I mean. Anyway, I do appreciate the suggestions as always.----- Original Message ----- From: "Petro T. Giannakopoulos" <petrakigianos-giasou@xxxxxxxxx>

The music you have been recording there do they contain silence between each song? If there is silence (a gap) between each song played then Replay Music will most likely do the job for you. It will split each song for you automatically and will attempt to name the song with a tag if it recognizes it. Write me off list if you want me to check your stream or streams with Replay Music. Maybe Applian Technologies can reissue some new discount promos codes soon.

Now to Replay AV 8.52. Explain again what you are doing there when your computer freezes up on you. What file type or types you are using to convert and to which format.

Petro,
I had already used Leslie's upgrade code and bypassed
the demo screen. Both my old Replay-AV and the new RC codes
are registered. All this was done with a clean install so
I'm not sure if my problem is something unique to my
system or what else is going on. I was tempted to go back to
the earlier version but don't want to do that. i
haven't tried other conversions except for .ogg, but i
can convert easily to .ogg without hanging up my system and
the conversions are successful. Without the error message I
realize that you can't replicate the problem. My only
reason for spending so much time on this is that i want to
split files into separate songs via mp3 direct cut. If
anyone can recommend a free or low-cost conversion utility
for this I may be able to bypass Replay Converter. in the
meantime, I'll play with it some more.

Susan

Leslie is offering us on this list a free upgrade code. So
ask her and copy that code as you will need it to activate
Replay AV 8.52's full potential and the new Replay
Converter. I have no issues here.

Reboot your computer and download and install Replay AV
8.52. There were some issues with Replay AV 8.50 & 8.51.
