Bob Double check this one more time. Open RM 6, press enter on the Settings button to open its properties. Tab a few times until you hear input and locate the text called audio drive in the combo box then tab to the OK and press enter to save. Focus will now be on RM6 main user intrface. Choose the close button to shut down RM 6. Locate RM 6 icon on your desktop and press enter to start up RM 6 again. Do a test recording and use your screen reader to see if it records your screen reader's speech. Do you have one sound card or more? To eliminate this issue and my opinion the simpliest is to buy a external USB sound card. The one I have is plug n play and sold by a blind dealer. No CD or software is used to install this sound card. JAWS will use your internal sound card while this external USB sound card will play all your media like music streams. You tell Windows 7 in sound settings, playback and recording to use this external USB sound card and to be the default card. This USB sound card has a 1/8 inch connector that you connect a 1/8 inch cable to it and the other end of this cable connects to a speaker that has a 1/8 inch input so you can listen to your music. You can turn down the speaker's volume all the way down and your music still gets recorded for you. I am sure Dr. Wilson will contact you. Do you have Skype? I am waiting for these new headphones and we can talk and possibly fix your issue. If you don't have Skype you can call me by phone. Eastern time zone. Contact me at petrogia@xxxxxxxxx for my phone number. We could also try JAWS tandem session. ----- Original Message ----- From: Bob C. I did as you suggested and changed the input source on my windows 7 machine to audio driver. Un fortunately, RM 6 is still recording JAWS along with the audio I want to save. I didn't have this problem in earlier versions of Replay Music. What can I do? It seems like other people are using Win 7 and RM 6 without this issue. Could my problem be happening because of earlier versions of Replay Music conflicting with RM 6? I remember that once I got a tool from Applian that removed all traces of RM. I'm wondering if there might be drivers etc. that are overlapping, and fowling up the functioning of RM 6. I would like to try getting rid of my Replay Music Suite and starting over clean if nescessary. But even this action means I need to know that the whole suite is gone before re-installing. So, what should I do? Go to Replay Music 6 settings and change the driver to audio driver. Its called the Input source. JAWS does not get recorded this way. Also if you use Windows Media Player you may have to disable to plugins via WMP's Tools menu with alt+t and open the plugins and press enter on two plugins that are chec marked, Applian Recorder RM Plugin The above two may conflict when playing your files when RM 6 is open and running and you choose to play a file. ----- Original Message ----- From: Bob C. In earlier versions of Replay Music It didn't matter if I moved around the screen. Replay would not interfere. Now Jaws is picked up with anything I record. I'm using JAWS 15 and RM 6. Isn't there a better way to get a clean recording with Replay Music than having to disable system sounds every time I use the program? And why is it that it worked so much better in older versions? Is it JAWS? Or is it Replay Music that accounts for the problem? ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This email is free from viruses and malware because avast!
