Susan
Great job here. You are correct. I use Windows Media Player to play .asf files. If a user happens to have a .asf file he can use Replay Converter that comes with Replay AV 8 to convert those .asf files to .mp3 format. Choices are 16, 32, 64 or 128 kbps in the mp3 format.

Darren,
My experience agrees with Petro's and I don't think
I ever really had a
problem setting these conversions when entering a new show.
I wanted to double-check my own settings before weighing in
on this. I agree
with Petro about not maintaining the default naming
conventions as far as
possible. In shows that I have successfully converted, the
filename looks
like showname.date.asf.mp3. Are you able to play your files
using player of
choice? I ask only because you may or may not have directed
Winamp to handle
.asf files should you wish it to do so. If you have
associated Winamp with
this file extension, you should still be able to play and
move about within
.asf files even if the conversion did not occur for
whatever reason. I
apologize if I have failed to understand the problem. Let
us know whether
you can play the files and/or what steps you took to
attempt to convert them
and I or others can probably help further.

Susan
