YOUNG CHEF

Jake Sawyers, aged 12, a pupil at Cefn Saeson, has been cooking for the Welsh
squad in France.
The trip to France is being filmed for the children's TV show Blue Peter, where
Jake is now resident Chef. Jake, who is visually impaired, beat more than
12,000 competitors to land the role in April and a week ago he also scooped a
dozen medals at the National United Kingdom Junior Games for Children with
Disabilities.
Jake is certainly going places and a lot of us are following Blue Peter to
watch him in action. No doubt there will be plenty more reports about Jake in
the future.
