do the same thing for the pop 3 port, you will need to go to tools then personalities and press alt+enter on the dominant account and tab through the settings and make sure you have required alternate ports selected in both the smtp and pop3 section.

you might want to see if they changed ports to 587 or other instead
of the defaults.
I do know that it will work with the new port configuration. Also
know that cox just like comcast is very pushy about there Internet usage.
