not knowing what screen reader you are using, i will give you my proceedure with window eyes 7.53 and you can do the equivalent stuff with jfw if that is yours.
1. go to tools, mailboxes, alt+t,ma list of all of your mailboxes will come up on screen but you are liable not to be able to read them with your arrow keys, so using your virtual currsor, go to the top left of the screen, and move down through the screen till you hear the mailbox you are wishing to delete, right click using your physical mouse or your virtual mouse and then, using your standard arrow keys, choose delete.
heads up,. if you have filters associated with this mailbox, you will be asked what you wish to do with the filter, update it or leave it alone, if you update it, it will redirect mail that use to go there to the inbox, if you leave it alone, then next time a message comes in for that old box, it will be recreated by the filter.
There is another way with windows explorer or the file search command but using that method, be sure you kill both toc and mbx files.
Hope that gets it done for you, me! a while back Reeva Parry told me on 03, 01 3/31/2012
OK, I've asked this question three times before, and got no answer. Could someone on this list tell me, step by step, how to delete mailboxes in Eudora 6.x? I would really appreciate it.
