Whoo, that’s a tuffy! Gosh. All of them offer quite a good level of
accessibility. For described content, I’d probably say the Apple TV, but really
pretty much all of the devices I have offer it to some level.
Accessibility wise, all are completely usable. To me however, it seems like the
Apple TV feels the smoothest. I don’t know why though. It’s probably just mind
over matter honestly. It’s kind of like using Talkback with Android if you’ve
been using Apple stuff for a huge length of time. You’ll probably find that
Talkback is extremely extremely usable, and very very doable, but it may just
feel a little clunky at first until you really get used to it. It’s kind of the
same with these devices I own. I’ve used Apple stuff now for so long, and given
that my Apple products are my main primary systems, the other stuff to me just
feels a bit downsized with usability. In all actuality of reality, that isn’t
true. Far from it! It just psychologically feels that way. Again, it’s kind of
mind over matter.
To be very canded with you, when someone asks me, what offers the best
accessibility, I’m very very hesitant to answer that question with a concreet
solid answer, as that question is so subjective. What one may find to be
usuable, another person may find to be utter junk.
For instance, I hate! hate hate hate hate hate hate! the Roku. Can’t stand it!
But, a friend of mine who is blind looks over the fact that the speech in the
thing is so aweful, and hardly to par with anything. He feels, given the amount
of content, it’s worth putting up with the super annoying parts of the
interface. I don’t have the patience though to mittle muck around trying to get
to content on a system that I barely can understand if the speech is saying
Bologna sandwich, or is it saying scratch my feet. LOL! Sorry to be so blunt
with that last statement, but, that’s just how I see it.
So yeah, YMMV. For me, I’d say to answer your questions, the Apple TV seems to
be the smoothest, but for you, you may find differently. Different folks,
different strokes. I say use what works best for you.

Hello everyone, my name is Chris, and since last June, my whole family has
been part of the cord cutter trend.
Presently, I personally have a few Apple TVs connected to various rooms in
my upstairs area, One of which is connected to a complete surroundsound
Sonos home theater system. I also have an AT&T TV android box, and also a
Toshiba Amazon fire TV. (Not the Amazon fire stick, I'm talking about the
actual television itself).
I do have a Roku, although it isn't hooked up, and frankly has just been
sitting in a drawer for the last, God knows how long. I would gladly send it
to someone who could use it, if I could find the darn thing, but I don't
even think it works anymore. Even if it did, I find the text to speech voice
in the thing to be absolutely dreadful! Not to mention, at least with the
version of Roku I have, the built-in accessibility leaves a lot to be
desired. It would be almost the equivalent of using narrator on windows XP
back in the days. It's horrible! Again though, this is just my opinion. So
take it with a grain of salt. I do use a lot of the services like YouTube,
Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Sero's described video content, etc. I do often rent
movies as well as purchase content from the iTunes store, and I also
sometimes will do the same with Google movies and TV. I own both an iPhone
12 pro max, as well as an android pixel three XL.
I also have an iPad mini fifth generation. not the most up-to-date by any
means, I know, but it definitely does what I need to do.
Finally, I am both an advanced Windows user both with nvda, and also am Jaws
certified. finally, I also do you have a 2020 13 inch Mac book air.
I'm glad to be a part of this list, and look forward to learning a lot from
all of you.
