You could not pay me all the money in the entire world to get anything
insignia. perhaps I'm one of the few people on this list two feels this way,
but I have gotten televisions, CD, boomboxes, stereo, systems, believe it,
or not, coffee makers, portable, handheld, voice, cassette, recorders, etc.
It seems like, however, growing up getting the stuff, just about every one
of the products that I have gotten marked with the insignia registered
trademark brand, they have been nothing but an absolute utter nightmare!
either the parts break down, like what you described with your current
television, or you call their tech-support/email their tech-support, and
they literally know absolutely ditly squat, or a few of the times, the one
television or two that I had it was insignia, both Best Buy, as well as
insignia support themselves, which I guess technically is a branch of Best
Buy being that insignia kind of is their own store, brand, but anyway, both
of them told me that there was no accessibility. What made it even more
idiotic though was, they literally went so far to tell me at insignia
tech-support over the phone, there is no such thing as a television with
built-in speech. Obviously, that's complete utter BS. you know that, and so
do I. It doesn't take two blind people to figure that one out.
One time when I had a boombox that broke on me, even though it was still in
its one year, manufacturers warranty, and sing me a absolutely utterly
refused at every cause to replace the unit. they told me they would repair
it, but to do so, would mean, I would have to ship it to them, pay for that
shipping, as well as paying for them to ship back, and would also pay for
the repair. All total, they told me my cost came to just over $200. quite
frankly, that was about four times the cost that I initially paid for the
unit itself. I could've bought four of them with that amount of money.
So, my personal opinion, I hope you get that Sony television fixed, as I
again would never go with anything in sick me off for that reason. You'd
have to shoot me dead first. Sorry for the graphic pun, but it's true. hey,
don't look at me! You did ask our opinions, did you not? LOL. I'd rather be
candid, and tell you the truth of my experience, then defabricate it.

Good morning everyone,
We currently have a Sony Bravia TV. We received a Sharp HDTV in 2017
from my mother-in-law.
It ran for 3 years until we lost video. We were advised to replace the
entire tv which we did with our
Sony unit. We only had this tv for 2 years and we lost video yesterday.
Geek
Squad will be here next
Tuesday to repair this tv to restore video. The fact that this happened so
soon after buying a Sony tv is
not sitting well with us. It should last for 20 years not just 2!
If a repair is possible we hope we won't have to wait too long for
Geek Squad to receive the part
they need to fix this unit. They thought they were going to need to
replace
the main board earlier this
year. Perhaps we should have been proactive and told them to replace it
anyway to avoid this current
mayhem.
If we need to replace this tv we're curious to know what everyone's
experiences have been with
Insignia TVS. I know they're Fire TVS and have VoiceView and Alexa built
in.
Our issue with insignia is not
so much accessibility but durability. We don't want to buy another tv only
to deal with this same crap in
another 2 years. Sorry for sounding irritated but this has us taken a back
big-time! Your feedback will be
very much appreciated.
