I looked on line for other promotional codes, including the "plug" code, and
none of them work, they all give me the message:
The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.
This is with the Amazon Smart Plug $24.99
I couldn't find one that was called Amazon basic smart plug.

Yes. You need to add the Amazon basics smart plug to your cart and when you
checkout you enter the promo code plug and they will reduce the price of the
smart plug to 99 cents.

Did you have a plug in the cart before checking out?
I just had the fire stick in my cart at the price you mentioned, and on the
check out page I put plug in the code field and applied it and it said it
cannot be applied.
I wondered if it was because I did not also have a plug in my cart, so if
that is the case, which one can I get for 99¢?
