I have never heard of a slice of bacon being anything other than one of the
single strips of product straight from the package. A piece of bacon
definitely does not refer to the entire contents of the package, however large
it is. I don’t like referring to bacon strips as pieces, but that’s just me.

Sometimes, I see a recipe that calls for a number of bacon slices.
Is a bacon slice that long strip that comes in packages of various weights.
Or, is a bacon slice one of those longslices cut in half
Just another question that leaves me wondering.
