Susan:
As almost always seems to happen when we travel, someone came home sick from
the trip. We’re not sure if she is reacting to a lot of pet dander all over
everything in the house where we stayed, or if she has a cold. Either way, she
was not doing well last night. We ended up putting both kids down to bed an
hour earlier than usual, and I told Heather there was a good chance she would
be staying home from school today. Hopefully, eleven hours sleep will do her a
whole lot of good, even if it just makes her more reasonable and better able to
tell us what’s going on. As for the jambalaya, the website for America’s Test
Kitchen has a whole lot of recipes. Could you maybe narrow it down a bit? Is
there anything you do or do not want in your ideal recipe? Are shrimp OK or
not OK? Just let me know.

Hi, Jon:
Thank you so much! I do understand travel exhaustion, and the prospect of some
little girls waking you up early! Thanks again for anything you can do!
With Gratitude,
Susan T.

I am just getting in from a road trip with the family over the weekend, and am
so ready for bed. I do not have my own tried and true recipe, but I’m pretty
sure I know where to get a good one for you. I’ll do my best to poke around my
cookbooks and files tomorrow.

Hi, everyone!
Have any of you a good jambalaya recipe? I am not sure I like the recipe I
have. Thanks much!
Cheers,
Susan
