Hi. Mailing List admin emailing.
I would like your opinion on this, normally I wouldn't ask. But I don't want to
do anything that upsets the blind community. I know that this mailing List was
created for the blind. But how about expanding it a little? What if, in very
limited circumstances, I do allow sighted people to subscribe? I'm seeing
limited circumstances, because what if cited users are wanting to find out
information about Accessibility products on smart phones, so they can find the
best Smart phone further blind friend? What if a teacher who is cited, wants to
know more information about A screen reader, and which options are out there?
OK, I know this might upset some of you within the blind community, allowing
cited users to ask for information about technology for blind users in this
manner. However, I still think these resources are beneficial for cited users
who wish to find a good computer for school for the blind child, or a blind
friend who is going to college. And if a teacher has a blind student in their
classroom, and if they're not sure how to assist the blind person, they can
find information on this mailing list.
So, what are your thoughts?
