Hello Peter,

Yes. Transfers can be easily done without the specialized software. Just
plug a USB ccable from the computer tothe recorder. It'll appear as a drive.
Copy and paste the files across using Windows Explorer just like any other
hard or USB flash drive.

Subject: Olympus Recorder File Transfers

Good afternoon everyone,

I've been contacted by someone wishing to purchass an Olympus Recorder
for recording an up-coming event. They wish to post the recordings to their
Web site when the event is over. I have heard that there are accessibility
issues with the software that comes with this line of recorders that could
present problems when transferring files from the recorder to a PC for
further processing and archiving. How can these issues best be delt with?
Can a direct transfer via My Computer be done with this product rather than
using the software supplied with it? They want to record a conference in
April so we have plenty of time to coach them on how to use the device and
to work out these concerns prior to the event. Thanks for your help.
