Hi Mack. That's the way you learn, is by ask questions about things you don't know the answers to! I appreciate your reply!

No harm on my part either!

Thanks,

Hi Mack. I certainly agree with that! I think you should say what you
feel, and if you don't know the answers, you should ask questions, so that
you can get a clearer grasp of the situation. I just think it's exciting
news. No harm was meant. Cheers!

Gary,

What did you think I meant about this? I was simply saying that some of
us
do not have all of the expertise and haven't followed all the threads (and
I
mean ALL of them) that we might need, to know what is happening with
podcasting and the like. I have listened to a lot of stuff on Main
Menu,on
Mosen's site, on some tech podcasts, but I still need to get a regimen in
place; for instance-- how to latch onto RSS URells and how to use the News
Gator, when I have used Outlook Express but not Outlook, etc., etc., etc.
So, when I say that this stuff sounds like an"inside job", where, on a
public list people are talking about stuff that they know, I get
frustrated
and don't want to sound ignorant; does this make sense to you? I totally
agree that this accessibility issue is slowly (unfortunately) being
solved,
but, let's try to tell each other what is going on, whenever we can! It
was
just a turn in the road, where I thought it was time to sound off!!

Thanks,

-Mac-

This doesn't sound anything but good for us!

Mac

Like Jeff said, it's very simple. darryl went to the Podcast portable
expo, where many podcast producers and listeners are going, and spoke to
Adam Curry and many of his associates about better accessibility for
podcasting in general, and the podsafe music network, in particular. I
can't possibly make it any simpler than that.
This is going to be great, because now Darryl, a blind person, will be
able to offer feedback to Podshow about how to make things more
accessible
for everyone involved.

At 01:48 PM 11/12/2005, you wrote:
Jeff, it is not that simple, for newbies; what podcasts would give a
history
of all of this? You assume that everyone is on the same page, by making
that comment, that it is really simple, don't you? You are not always
playing to the choir, in this realm, you know; does this make sense to
you?
I mean, I know you are busy, but, really, some of us need to have some
info
on how to do this-- you cannot hold all the cards!

Thanks,

-Mac-

Well, it is simple really. Darrell went to the podcast expo conference and met with Aaron and Adam and talked about accessibility, and this is the result <smile>.

Jeff,

All this inside info; could you take some time to explain what is going
on?

Darrell Shandrow makes a huge leap with Podshow at the Podcasting conference this weekend. On today's Daily Source code Adam Curry mandates a "accessibility effort" with podshow HQ. Direct access will be given to the bugzilla database to track accessibility issues.

All I have to say is, great job Darrell!!!

With Andrew G also joining podshow, this is nothing but awesome! Expect
to
see changes folks.

Thank you Adam, your awesome!

Darrell may also be on TWIT this week with Leo. Let's all hope Leo has a
good contact with Google and Yahoo to make a difference. Darrell did
speak
at length with Yahoo at the conference and it looks like they have a
better
understanding of issues surrounding accessibility.

Jeff
