It is very true that there is considerable excellent information on
http://www.blindcooltech.com dealing with the accessibility or lack of
accessibility of digital recorders and reviews of devices such as the
Olympus WS200s and the "Best Pick," WS320M.  If you shop around, you can
find this latter recorder discounted for approximately $160 to around $180.  

I have read several of Larry's podcasts and others on blindcooltech, and
while they are extremely informative, some of them are also very long and
often a very small amount of the podcast time is actually devoted to the
essence of the information suggested by the title, and if time is extremely
limited, it is difficult to listen to all of the "off topic" extraneous
information, interesting as it might be, if you are listening for the
purpose of getting more directly to the information related to the title of
the podcast.
