Hi. For anyone who has SoftDisk or similar, don't assume that some
programs won't work with speech just because they didn't originally. I
have quite a bit of software which will never talk on a real Apple but runs
fine under emulation with speech. For best results, I suggest you run an
emulator called A2 with a Linux shell account, but there is a MS-DOS
version which works sometimes. The DOS version doesn't work as well though.

They didn't comment too much on what copy protected disks they are
including on the CD, but they said that they weren't distributing the
Penguin games because of copyrights. That's no problem though since the IF
archive has them and apparently the author has allowed them to distribute
them in an unprotected form for free. I had a Penguin game for my real
Apple that would not talk. I have been able to play all of them under A2
with speech.

For those who don't know, the IF archive has lots of games known as
interactive fiction. You can look here for the Penguin games.
