[blind-wii] Wii controller

Hi all,
Has anyone had any success with the Wii controller? I am happy with playing
games with the Wii etc, but I am unable to point and click at anything using
the Wii controller, if I get too close to the television, the controller loses
the connection to the Wii and drops (because I think I block the senser bar),
and so I am not able to see what I am doing very well.
Anyone managed to get round this?
