Steve, unfortunately VPC cannot run machines created in VMWare. VMware
has a conversion utility but I don't know if it goes from VMWare to VPC
or only the other way around. One thing that may work is to find one of
those utilities that will take a snapshot of a hard disk and create a
.VHD file from it. You could run that util while in an active VMWare
session and create the .VHD image from there.

vm ware like vmx files
also  if not is there any way to convert  the images of vmware
workstation 
to vertual pc
