Subject: [blind-it] Experiences with exchange Antispam / antivirus?

I'm looking to implement an antispam / antivirus product on our Exchange
server, and would be curious as to any experiences, good or bad, others
have had with various solutions?

The first one I tried was Ninja by Sunbelt software,
http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com

At first blush, This program did everything I wanted. It offered
multiple AV engines to protect the exchange Database, very comprehensive
antispam capabilities with good integration into Outlook, and all of
this at a very reasonable price point. Unfortunately though, I'm not
adopting Ninja due to poor accessibility on the administrative side.
The console utilizes a nonstandard listview control, and keyboard
navigation is very lacking. I've contacted Sunbelt about these issues,
which incidentally affect the administrative console of their VIPRE
Enterprise solution as well, but that's a topic for another thread. The
folks at Sunbelt seemed reasonably receptive to making future releases
of their admin consoles accessible. It's apparently been added to their
to do list; However, Comments to them from others on this list
emphasizing the point would probably not go amiss.

So now, I'm in the hunt for other solutions. The Baracuda boxes seem
nice. I haven't seen the web UI, but I would assume it's relatively
accessible? The yearly maintenance fee is high in our case though,
especially since we currently only want to protect 25 mailboxes.

I'm thinking of checking out the Microsoft Forefront solution. There's
also a product by GFI. Has anyone had experience with any of these, or
other products?

Thanks,
