[blind-education] is there a way to get publishers to have their books in electronic or digital format for the blind?

Hi list members, i'd like to know if it is possible to talk to publishers to
inform them that there are blind people who need their books in an accessible
format? As an example, if i know that i have to buy the book, if it is
possible to already be able to get an e text version of the book that would
save a lot of time and the blind person who have the same access to the books
as the sighted counterparts? I'd like to know what you think. Thank you for
any information that you might have.
