I just listened to Bernie's entire Arizona speech, the one that the TV
channels cut away from in order for pundits to chat and to wait for Trump to
speak on Tuesday night. Common Dreams has a video of the entire speech. It
has no surprises. It is an organizing speech, one that teaches lessons in
short simple sentences. At the end, after explaining how the elites divide
and conquer, he says, "There is nothing that we cannot do if we stand
together". This is what I hoped he would do. If he can manage to hold on to
the end, I hope people will learn something from him about what needs to be
done, and that his campaign will, at the least, be a building block toward a
better future.
