Yes, this is an absolutely bizarre example of corporate capitalism gone out
of control. The idea that there are tainted water systems in the state while
this corporation is permitted to steal incredible amounts of water to sell.

Dear Paul,
Nestlé Waters is already raiding Michigan's ground water to bottle for their
corporate profit, and now they want to go even further.
Nestlé has applied for a permit from the Michigan Department of
Environmental Quality (MDEQ) to drastically increase the amount of drinking
water they are
taking in Osceola County.
Submit your comment to the MDEQ to deny Nestlé's request to raid more of
Michigan's precious drinking water.
This permit would allow Nestlé to increase the amount of water it is
withdrawing from 150 to 400 gallons per minute. Initially, the MDEQ only
gave the public
a few days to submit comments.
Due to the immediate and swift reaction from the community, the MDEQ has
extended the comment deadline and needs to hear from you.
Submit your comment to stop Nestlé from raiding any more of Michigan's
drinking water.

We have seen this play out in towns across the country. Nestlé targets small
communities with limited means to protect their water resources. The battles
between this mega-corporation and small towns have raged from coast to
coast.
Michigan towns have experienced what it means to have Nestlé invade.
Landowners, farmers and other residents have to engage in year-long court
battles to
protect their water.
Michigan should not allow the interests of a multinational bottled water
company to take precedence over the interests of the public.
Tell the MDEQ to protect Michigan's drinking water and stand up to Nestlé.

For far too long, Nestlé has been profiting from our public water. It is
true that even if Nestlé's permit is denied, they still will be able to
withdraw
water at their current rate. However, denying this permit is the first step
toward stopping Nestlé.
The public comment period has been extended because of our collective
action. Let's continue the momentum and take this opportunity to stand up
for Michigan's
drinking water.
