Frank,  Could what you wrote be correct?  That would mean you paid $92,000 a 
year for your father's care in assisted living.  Even if it were full nursing 
care that would be terribly expensive.  How could anyone afford to be there?

Marsha, when my late father was in assisted living for the last few years it 
cost $500 per day of which the VA paid half and I paid half.

  Any kind of assisted living, even very little, is like $3000 a month.  who 
has that kind of money?
