I should be grateful. The young journalists, whom I listen to on various
podcasts, are constantly under attack on social media where their jobs
require them to participate. And their professional standing and personal
reputations are constantly at risk. If I feel , (excuse the word), insulted,
only the very small number of people who participate on the Blind Democracy
list will know about it. My profession, my income, not even my personal
reputation will be damaged. But I do have to remind myself of these facts
whenever Roger scolds me for not paying proper attention to all of his
previous careful explanations or for my improper use of the English language
or for my incorrect political views or for just expressing my feelings about
being scolded.
