Well, there are no perfect governments on this planet, now or in the
past. Even Heaven had its troubles. God, according to His Word, the
Bible, had to toss old arch angel Lucifer out the Pearly Gates, along
with a band of Lucy's followers.
But taken in total, the Cuban overthrow of the corrupt, mafia/US
backed gang that oppressed the Cuban People,
taken in total it was a vast improvement for the majority of Cubans.
Only those who took their gold and fled to Florida longed for the
"good old days". But some of us recall those "good old days". Still,
each of us comes to a subject such as this with our own convictions.
From where I sit, the Cuban Revolution has produced the most positive
socialist government in recent history. In fact, I am some concerned
over the US new efforts to open normal relations. When I see some of
our billionaires crowding into Havana, eager to "do business", I sense
it might be to, "give them the business", instead.
But before I get too involved with the sort of government Cuba has set
in place, I think I need to pay more attention to our own form of
dictatorship, the Corporate American Empire, a full blown Oligarchy,
dressed up as a Republic.
Of course it's so much easier to tell other governments where they
miss the mark, than to take our own Masters to task.
