Hi Roger,
As a high school senior, my IQ was 129, pretty much the same as yours. I have
often found that people like me best when I de-emphasize my intelligence.
AS for the politics of being smart, dumb, rich or poor, I'd say that one of the
dumbest things that many folks do is to close their minds to new ideas. I think
we're all guilty of that one to some degree. IN my case, I have for most of my
life been convinced that a properly regulated capitalist system is the best
economic system for us. I am getting closer and closer now to Carl's point of
view which is that our capitalist system is broken beyond repair.
When I read Roger's posts from the Militant, (many of which I agree with), I
keep thinking that a majority of Americans would see the words Socialist
Worker's Party" and immediately close their minds to whatever it is the article
has to say.
