To my way of thinking the answer is, Yes! It's all a charade. A sham.
Voting is a technique used by the Ruling Class to validate their claim
to hold Power over the Citizens. I believe that the Constitution was
drafted by the elite White Landholders who already dominated the
Colonial Government. Women, Slaves, and the Working Class were never
included in the original thinking. In fact the Founding Fathers(no
Mothers)expressed concern over any thought of true democracy. They
simply did not trust the Masses. And their Constitution reflected
those fears. Often I liken the Masses, the Working Class as Sports
Fans. We pay for the ticket in order to have a seat at the game. We
have "our team" made up of players we had no hand in selecting. We
have coaches hired with our money, but whom we have no say in their
hiring or firing or in their game plans. We pay to build the ball
field and we are called upon to be loyal to "our team". But it is all
a sham. We are not included in any way other than to shell out our
hard earned dollars. And if we disagree with the referee's call, it
makes no difference. The refs could be likened to the Supreme Court.
They do not belong to the Masses. They answer to rules and laws that
were drawn up by those who own the game, and who expect to be taken
care of.
And so I pay my ticket price, by voting. And I shout and cheer for My
Team. And I groan if my team loses. But it really doesn't matter,
because it never was my team in the first place. If we're ever going
to see a government that cares for all its people, then we will need
to take control away from the present Owners. And we will need to
draft new game rules, rules that treat all citizens rights equally.
Rules that are written to protect the least wealthy and least
important citizen, equal to how all others are treated.

left Democratic presidential candidate. And once again, a very strange

is inserted into the conversation, this time, by David Remnick, the
interviewer. Joe Biden has the largest number of black supporters. Everyone
is talking about Biden's racism, support of segregationist senators,
opposition to bussing. Remember when Hillary was running against Obama for
the presidential candidacy in 2008? She had the larger number of black
followers for the longest time, regardless of Bill's support of mass
incarceration. He was even called, "the first black president" by someone

other, a black celebrity. The Congressional Black Caucus has been rather
conservative and business oriented in its actions. So just what and who is
it that black voters support? If it's Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, then
what does that tell us about black leadership and how voters can be
influenced? What does it say about all voters, regardless of race or
ethnicity? What's the point of campaigns and voting? Is it just all a
charade?
