Carl,
I'll bet dollars to donuts, the party will choose a black, female candidate for
vice president. Everyone has been trained to vote for symbolic candidates, not
real people.
Miriam,

Exactly true, Miriam.
But then I've always believed that it takes someone with an over inflated ego
to believe that they can lead a large nation.
I was just listening to Rep. Jayapal on Thom Hartmann, on Free Talk TV. She's
the Rep. from Seattle's 7th District. I would put her up to run for vice
president with Joe Biden.

Carl,
I forget things all the time, words, names of things, inconsequential
things that have happened recently. But neither you nor I would
presume to take on the kind of responsibility that Joe Biden is
willing to take on. For him to make that choice, is wrong, unethical.
For the Democratic Party leadership to manipulate in the way that they
did to give him the nomination, is absolutely criminal. And it shows
their disrespect for the Americans whom they are supposed to be representing.

That pretty much sums it up, Miriam.
But here's the scary thing, Joe Biden sounds very much like me. No, I
don't mean that he has the same positions or principles that I have,
but I'm now finding myself wandering off topic, reaching for words
that slip and slide away, and mix up topics in the middle of a
thought. Maybe it shows somewhat in my posts, but as a general rule I
take time to say what I want to say without wandering too far afield.
When I was younger I saw this same pattern developing in my mother, as
it had done with her own mother. I assumed I would follow my dad's
aging pattern. Dad was sharp up to the day he died. But, as it is
with us all, the genetic mix can be very fickle. Two beautiful young
people can produce an Ugly Duckling just as a homely pair can bring
into the world a Beauty Pageant Winner.
But, and there is always a butt in the mix, Joe Biden is dreaming, in
his more lucid moments, of becoming our Leader! Leaders, especially
in today's world, need to be able to follow a thought from beginning
to end without winding up somewhere else.
What I would do, if, God Forbid, if I were Joe Biden, I'd take Bernie
Sanders as my running mate. Now I understand that Biden said he'd
call on a woman to be his vice presidential running mate, but
remember, Joe What's His Name won't remember he said that. So with
Bernie at his side, bringing all the more reasonable voters, and Joe
with the Establishment Democrats, together they will sweep Donald
Trump and his White Supremacists right on back to where they belong...1880.

My last post for tonight: Has anyone actually listened to all of the
recent clips of Joe Biden's pronouncements? He is clearly suffering
from some kind of Dimentia. He can't talk for more than a minute or
so without going off track, forgetting what he's saying, sounding
confused. It is incredible that the Democratic Party leadership has
chosen this candidate to run against Donald trump. Assuming that they
can continue to hide his senility from the public, is their plan to
then have someone behind the scenes actually act as President while
using him as a figurehead. That's what the Republicans did with
Ronald Reagan after he developed Alzheimers, but at least he was
functional at the start of his presidency. So this time we'll have
two old white men running against each other: one, an insane person
who is also a racist bigot and a dishonest businessman: the other a
senile racist with a history of favoring legislation that supports
banks and mass incarceration.
Both of them have histories of sexual harassment of women. But the
thing is, the Republicans are more ruthless than the Democrats,
better at dirty tricks, so the crazy racist abuser may win over the
senile racist abuser.
