Religion is born out of fear of the unknown. Or perhaps it might be
said that Religion is born out of the fear of death. But
whichever, Humans have decided that there is some Great Power that
makes sense out of all that which Human's cannot understand.
Religion is merely Mankind's wish for eternal life.
From that basic wish, all religions spring. Rules, Laws, Books upon
Books have been written. And all without a single scrap of proof that
anything exists beyond this life.
And because Man has no answer to the Beginning of this Universe, nor
where it is going, or when it will end, all Man can do is to punt.
Man creates a Super Being who knows everything. In so doing, Man
gives away His control over His own life.
Religion, then, is the control over Human Life.
