Miriam, OK fair enough we will agree to disagree on those areas, and that is
perfectly OK. Can you imagine how boring it would be if we all agreed.

Frank,
I'm afraid that you and I disagree about the Democratic Party being
progressive. True, their stated identity politics are progressive. But their
actions are Neo Liberal which is another word for free market, and their
foreign policy is identical to that of the Neocons who are now supporting them
rather than Trump. The Neocons are people who were once on the far left and
moved to the far right in terms of foreign policy. They are the strong
supporters of Israel and of our government's world wide interventionist policy.
Hillary Clinton embodies that policy. Her personal charm or lack, thereof, is
not what keeps true Progressives from supporting her. It is her closeness to
the Financieers and corpotrists and her embrace of Netanyahu and the Neocon
policy of US domination of the world that is abhorrent. As for the Greens, I
read what their platform is, listen to their speeches, and watch what they do,
and none of what I observe, supports your contentions. But when I disagree with
your assertions, I am not making personal attacks on you. I'm just strongly
disagreeing.

Miriam, your unnecessary personal attacks aside; Sanders supporters haven't
embraced Clinton and he knows it. Their refusal to vote democratic will tip the
scales towards to the benefit of the GOP. Even though I was duped myself by
Sanders I now realize that he wasn't in it to win it. He merely was interested
in kicking the progressive leg out from under the democratic party. This was
evident when he failed to campaign for the primary in Massachusetts. Why in
earth, if you are really seeking the democratic nomination, would you let the
most democratic state in the union slip away?
Now don't even get me started on Stein. I was heavily involved in the Greens a
few moons back until I realized it was merely a front for wealthy neo-liberal
offshore alternative energy corporations. Think about it; if Sanders and Stein
did not exist this campaign cycle more progressives would be drawn to the
democratic party and that would push it to the left. Instead Sanders and Stein
have given progressives a false path to nowhere to go down while abandoning the
democratic party which will push it more to the right.
If Clinton does win and her performance leans to the right I will attribute
that to the lack of support she has gotten on the left.

I think that anyone who believes that Sanders and Stein are trying to put a
Republican in office is deluded. I know that Frank keeps repeating this
allegation. I think it is slanderous. All one needs to do is read Sanders'
speeches and articles since the Democratic convention to understand that he is
wholeheartedly supporting the Democratic party. Many people are very angry at
the Green Party because it refuses to fit into the two party system that the
elites have decreed. I've read a variety of criticisms of the Greens. What these
criticisms come down to is that Democracy is not permitted in America. There's
nothing in our constitution about political parties.
There's no reason that we can't have real proportional representation like most
other western countries do.

Marsha, if Michelle were running she would be attacked in the same way if not
worse than Hillary. No politician in a capitalistic state will give everyone
what they want, they can't do that. The system dictates that they must play
either side of the corporate state's line. Obama and Clinton working the inside
track and toeing the Democratic party line and Sanders and Stein working the
outside track to put a Republican in the oval office.
That will never change as long as we hold onto capitalism as our lord and
savior.

Hi
If there should be a president who has been married to a former president,
Michelle could be much better than Hilary.
